About

Cody Horsecamp is a 16-site equestrian campground in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, designed specifically for horse camping. All sites are long pull-throughs with highline poles, making it easy to accommodate trailers and tether horses. The campground includes a mounting assist ramp and water trough for stock. Shade is plentiful from the surrounding lodgepole pine and mixed conifers, though the tree cover limits space for portable corrals. The Klickitat Loop Trail #7A trailhead is located within the campground, giving riders direct access to scenic high-country trails. Heading south on the Klickitat, you can connect to Spring Creek Trail #115 and High Lakes Trail #116. Potable water is available from a hand pump, and vault toilets are provided. The campground sees light use and operates first-come, first-served.
