* WHAT...Temperatures of 36 degrees or lower will result in frost formation. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Oregon and southwest Washington. * WHEN...From midnight Friday Night to 9 AM PDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Frost and freeze headlines are only issued through the growing season of April 1 through October 31. Therefore, frost or freeze headlines will not be issued beginning November 1, even though similar low temperatures are possible. Additionally, frost and freeze headlines will no longer be issued this growing season for the Upper Hood River Valley, southern Willamette Valley, south Washington Cascade Foothills, and north Oregon Coast Range as these locations have already experienced a hard freeze earlier in October.

About
Situated 18 miles northeast of Lowell, Oregon, Puma Campground occupies a forested terrace along Fall Creek at the terminus of Forest Service Road 18. The 11 campsites are nestled within mature forest canopy, providing welcome shade during hot summer months. The campground attracts families seeking a quiet retreat with direct access to Fall Creek for swimming and fishing. The Fall Creek National Recreation Trail begins nearby, offering 13.7 miles of hiking through the drainage. The area showcases a dynamic landscape that has been shaped by multiple wildfires over the years. Vault toilets are provided, but campers should bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on site. Sites accommodate up to 6 people with 2 vehicles and 2 tents. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and chainsaw use is prohibited within the campground.
Directions
From Lowell, Oregon: Head north 0.1 mile from Lowell Junior/Senior High School, turn left onto North Shore Drive, then right onto South Moss Street. After 0.8 miles, South Moss Street becomes Jasper-Lowell Road. Continue 1.0 mile to a four-way stop, turn right onto Big Fall Creek Road. At Fall Creek Lake Dam, bear left. Big Fall Creek Road becomes Forest Road 18 after the National Forest boundary. Travel 16.1 miles from the four-way stop; destination is on the left.
