About

Cheboygan State Park Campground sits on the eastern shore of Lake Huron near the Straits of Mackinac, offering 78 modern campsites with electric hookups (20-amp, some 50-amp). The campground provides partial shade and level sites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs, with pull-through options available. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The park features a sandy beach on Duncan Bay, making it popular for swimming, fishing, and paddling. Single and tandem kayak rentals are available at the campground office from mid-May through mid-September. Elliot Creek runs through the park and supports trout fishing. Multiple hiking trails provide access to scenic Lake Huron vistas and diverse habitats. Facilities include flush toilets, showers, potable water at multiple locations, and a dump station restricted to registered campers. The park also offers a modern lodge overlooking Billy Elliot Creek and rustic cabins. A Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry.
