About
Aloha State Park Campground is located on the northeast shore of Mullett Lake near Cheboygan in Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula, close to the Straits of Mackinac. The campground offers 283 modern sites divided into three sections and multiple loops. All campsites in the south section feature full hookups with water and sewer connections, though this section lacks a bathroom building. The campground is especially popular with boaters, as it surrounds a protected boat basin where registered campers can dock their boats for the duration of their stay. Mullett Lake is Michigan's fourth-largest inland lake and serves as the central point for the Inland Waterway, a 38-mile chain of rivers and lakes ideal for boating and paddling. The park features a public boat launch, fish cleaning station, two buoyed swim areas with sandy beaches, and 200 feet of sandy shoreline. The 70-mile North Eastern State Trail borders the park, offering year-round recreation including biking, hiking, and winter snowmobiling. Additional amenities include bike rentals, a fish cleaning station, picnic shelter, playground, and dump station.
