About

Cedar Canyon Campground is located at Lake Meredith National Recreation Area in the Texas Panhandle. This small cove lies between Fritch Fortress and Sanford-Yake campgrounds and features beach camping with no designated individual campsites. The campground accommodates approximately 15 sites and is popular with both tent campers and RV users. The area provides flush toilets and potable water in the parking lot, along with picnic tables and grills. Camping is free with no entrance or overnight fees. The unpaved road through the campground can become soft during rainy conditions, so visitors should drive with caution when leaving paved roads. Campfires are permitted in existing grills and rings only. Lake Meredith offers fishing, boating, swimming, and other water recreation opportunities. The Texas Panhandle experiences cold, windy winters and hot, dry summers, so visitors should come prepared for variable weather conditions. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations available.
