About
Blueberry Patch Campground is a small, semi-primitive campground located along Picnic Area Road (County Route 2) in the Finger Lakes National Forest, nestled between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. The campground sits adjacent to the large blueberry patch from which it received its name, featuring both high bush and low bush blueberries that are popular for gathering when in season.
The campground offers nine campsites, each equipped with a fire pit, tent pad, picnic table, and parking for up to two cars. Designed specifically for tents or small campers under 24 feet long, the campground features handicap accessible picnic tables and two handicap accessible vault toilets. No drinking water is available on-site, so campers must bring their own supply. A self-pay fee station is located at the entrance.
Nearby trails include the Interloken Trail and Burnt Hill Trail, providing excellent hiking opportunities. The campground's location on the ridge between the two lakes offers convenient access to the Seneca Lake wine tour, Watkins Glen State Park, and other Finger Lakes attractions. Day visitors interested in hiking, picnicking, or berry gathering can use the first parking lot without camping.
