A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... At 146 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 11 nm south of Jekyll Island, or 17 nm south of St. Simons Island, moving southeast at 10 knots.
