Canyon View Campground is located within Little Missouri State Park, a 4,592-acre park in Dunn County that preserves some of North Dakota's most dramatic Badlands scenery. The park sits along the Little Missouri River and offers over 40 miles of trails winding through eroded buttes, colorful clay formations, and prairie grasslands. Most of the park's backcountry is accessible only by horseback or on foot. The campground offers 28 modern sites with electrical hookups and 3 primitive tent sites, plus group shelter campsites for larger parties. Facilities include vault toilets, a pay shower house, and an RV dump station. The park is especially popular with equestrians, featuring 81 corrals and a round pen for horses, with hay available for purchase. Reservations can be made up to 95 days in advance through reservendparks.com or by calling 800-807-4723. Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out at 3:00 PM. The park operates seasonally from May through October.
