About

Camp Seven Lake Campground occupies a scenic setting on the shores of a 60-acre lake in the lower portion of Hiawatha National Forest. The mixed hardwood forest provides shade and privacy for most sites, with several offering direct lakefront access. Anglers can pursue smallmouth bass, bluegills, and perch from shore or by boat. A sandy swimming beach with a paved walking trail anchors the day-use area. The campground offers 37 single-family sites accommodating both tents and RVs up to 50 feet, with pull-through and back-in configurations available. Select sites feature 30 or 50-amp electric hookups. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. A group picnic area accommodates up to 25 people with tables, a campfire circle, and a grill. Accessible vault toilets serve the campground, and drinking water is available via hand pump. The 2-mile Van Winkle Lake loop trail departs from the campground, leading hikers through a beautiful paper birch stand to overlook quiet Van Winkle Lake. Waterfowl and wetland wildlife frequent the trail corridor.
