About

Camp Seven Lake Campground is located in the lower third of Hiawatha National Forest, surrounded by mixed hardwood forests and abundant waterways characteristic of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The 60-acre lake serves as the centerpiece, supporting motorized boating, swimming at a sandy beach, and fishing for smallmouth bass, bluegills, and perch. The campground offers approximately 38 sites ranging from standard nonelectric to electric hookup sites with 50-amp service. Several sites are pull-through style with driveways exceeding 160 feet, accommodating RVs up to 50 feet. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are available but potable water is not provided on-site. The nearby 2-mile Van Winkle Lake loop trail leads through a spectacular paper birch stand overlooking quiet Van Winkle Lake, offering opportunities to spot waterfowl and wetland wildlife.
