About

Camp Seven Lake Campground is located in the southern portion of Hiawatha National Forest in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The campground features 41 campsites set among large shade trees adjacent to the 60-acre Camp Seven Lake. Sites vary between non-electric and electric hookups, with most offering privacy and shade. Some sites are positioned directly on the lake. The lake provides excellent opportunities for swimming at the designated beach, boating, and fishing for smallmouth bass, bluegills, and perch. The 2-mile Van Winkle Lake loop trail leads hikers through the forest to a spectacular paper birch stand overlooking Van Winkle Lake, where waterfowl and wetland wildlife are commonly spotted. A paved walking trail along the beach offers easier accessibility for all visitors. The campground is situated in an area characterized by mixed hardwood forests and numerous lakes typical of the Upper Peninsula. Sites are equipped with tables and fire rings, with vault toilets and drinking water available throughout the campground. A group picnic area accommodates up to 25 people with tables, a campfire circle, and grill. The town of Garden Corners on Lake Michigan's shore is approximately 20 miles away.

Directions
