About

Camp Run Campground provides a throwback to 1950s-style primitive camping in the George Washington National Forest. Located along a Shenandoah Mountain drainage in Pendleton County, West Virginia, this small campground with 9 sites attracts hunters and campers seeking a rustic experience away from developed facilities. The campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees required. Facilities are minimal: vault toilets and picnic tables are provided, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. The area is subject to food storage and disposal requirements due to bear activity.
