Boating conditions will be hazardous due to rough waters on area lakes, including Eagle Lake, Honey Lake, Lake Davis, Frenchman Lake, and Stampede Reservoir. Winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft. Blowing dust may reduce visibilities. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest winds are expected Saturday evening, especially for wind prone areas along US-395 between Janesville and Doyle. Winds will very slowly decrease late Saturday night into early Sunday morning behind the cold front.

Butte Creek Campground is a secluded, no-fee camping area tucked away in the Lassen National Forest, offering 10 semi-developed sites at an elevation of 5,600 feet. The campground sits about 4 miles off Highway 44, making it a quiet retreat away from the main travel corridors. Vault toilets are available on both ends of the campground, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground typically operates seasonally, opening in spring after snowmelt and closing in fall when winter conditions arrive. It is not maintained during winter months. From Susanville, drive west on Highway 36 to the Highway 44 turnoff, continue 35 miles until the turnoff for Butte Creek Campground on Forest Road 32N21, then continue 2.5 miles to the campground.
