About

Buffaloberry Campground is a small, rustic Bureau of Land Management campground situated along the North Platte River in Natrona County, Wyoming. Located approximately 12 miles from Alcova, the campground provides a peaceful base for anglers and wildlife enthusiasts seeking solitude away from more developed recreation areas. The campground offers four designated overnight sites, each with a tent pad, picnic table, and fire ring. A vault toilet and parking area serve all campers. The facility is ADA accessible. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own supply. Popular activities include bank fishing on the North Platte River, wildlife viewing, and photography. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. Day use for picnicking is free, while overnight camping costs $10 per night.

From Alcova, go east 7.4 miles on Highway 220 and turn left on County Road 316. Travel 4.2 miles to the turnoff on the right and continue to the campground.
