Closure of Fishing on Concrete Boat Ramps withing Flaming Gorge Reservoir

Ashley National Forest Order 050115A1 regarding:  Closure of Fishing from Concrete Boat Ramps on Flaming Gorge Reservoir

About

Buckboard Crossing Campground is located on the far northwest shore of Flaming Gorge Reservoir within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area at an elevation of 6,100 feet. The campground offers 66 single-family campsites in a high desert landscape with sagebrush and scattered trees providing minimal natural shade. Most sites feature shade cabanas, picnic tables, and fire rings, though some have BBQ grills instead of fire rings. The campground provides flush restrooms, hot showers (available to non-campers for a fee), potable water, and a dump station. Several sites in Loop A offer 50-amp electrical hookups. Sites range from standard non-electric to standard electric, with some pull-through sites available for larger RVs up to 45 feet. Check-in is at 2 PM and checkout is by 11 AM. The adjacent Buckboard Marina offers boat rentals, fuel, slips, fishing licenses, bait, and groceries. A boat ramp and fish cleaning station are conveniently located nearby. Flaming Gorge Dam, with guided tours of the hydroelectric plant and a visitor center featuring area history exhibits, is a popular nearby attraction.

Directions

On Highway 530, travel 25 miles south from Green River, Wyoming. Go 2 miles east on Forest Road 009 to the campground, adjacent to Buckboard Marina.
