About

Brush Lake State Park is a 280-acre park centered around a deep, clear alkaline lake with unique ocean-like water quality and white sandy beaches. The mile-long lake is surrounded by grass fields and spring wheat, creating a striking landscape in northeast Montana's remote Sheridan County. The park offers a 12-site campground with 10 standard electric sites and 2 double electric sites, all with fire pits and picnic tables. Due to the high mineral and alkali content of the water, the lake does not support fish life, but it provides exceptional swimming conditions and is ideal for motorized boating and water skiing. The day use area includes a boat ramp, dock, and picnic facilities. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, with coyote, elk, raccoons, and beavers commonly seen in the area. The park's remote location 31 miles south of Plentywood offers a peaceful escape with modern conveniences like electric hookups, water, and trash removal.
