About
Brimstone OHV Campground is a small, no-fee campground constructed in 2017 specifically to serve off-highway vehicle enthusiasts visiting the Sugar Pine OHV trail system in Tahoe National Forest. The campground features eight accessible campsites and functions as both a camping area and staging area for OHV recreation. The facility provides vault toilets but no potable water, so visitors must bring their own water supply. This campground is part of the American River Ranger District and is designed to accommodate various recreationists including ATV riders, motorcyclists, hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. The location provides direct access to the extensive Sugar Pine OHV trail system. Due to its elevation in the Sierra Nevada foothills, the campground is typically accessible spring through fall, with winter access dependent on snow conditions and road access.
Directions
From Foresthill, California, take Foresthill Road east for approximately 17 miles. Turn left onto Sugar Pine Road (Forest Road 10) and continue for about 3 miles to reach the Brimstone OHV Campground.
