About
Brandy Creek RV Campground is situated at the popular Brandy Creek Marina in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, 13.5 miles west of Redding and 3.5 hours north of Sacramento. This RV-only facility features 15 asphalt parking sites partially shaded by oaks and pines, designed exclusively for self-contained recreational vehicles with onboard toilet and wastewater systems. The campground provides a dump station and potable water (may be shut off periodically during winter to prevent freezing) but no hookups, restrooms, tables, or fire facilities. Brandy Creek Beach is located a quarter-mile from the campground, offering sandy beaches and swimming in the cool, clear waters of the 3,200-acre Whiskeytown Lake. The location provides year-round access to hiking and mountain biking trails, including the nearby Brandy Creek Trail and Davis Gulch Trail. During summer months, the lake is popular for kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding, and water skiing, while year-round activities include fishing, gold panning, horseback riding, and hunting during appropriate seasons. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area sits at the convergence of the Klamath Mountains, Cascade and Coast Mountain Ranges, and Sacramento Valley, creating diverse wildlife habitats and landscapes.
