Concentrations of ozone in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category are possible on Monday and Tuesday for locations in the northern Colorado Front Range region, including the Denver Metro area, Fort Collins, Greeley, and surrounding areas. Boyd Lake State Park is a premier water sports destination in northern Colorado, offering modern camping facilities year-round. The campground features 140 paved pull-through sites that can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet in length. Each site includes electric hookups (20-, 30-, or 50-amp service), picnic tables, and grills. The campground is designed for easy access and comfort with three restroom buildings equipped with flush toilets and hot showers, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, and a dump station available to all campers. The park centers around a 1,700-acre reservoir that provides excellent opportunities for motorized boating, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, and swimming at a designated swim beach. A marina is available on the lake. Beyond water activities, visitors can enjoy a half-mile nature trail and a paved bike path that connects to Loveland's recreational trail system. The park attracts families and water sports enthusiasts throughout the year. Winter camping is available with modified services from November through March, with one designated bathroom building remaining open and laundry facilities closed during this period. The park requires advance reservations for all campsites, which can be made up to six months in advance. Each site can accommodate a maximum of two sleeping units and six people, with check-in at 1 p.m. and check-out at noon.

Boyd Lake State Park is located at 3720 N County Road 11-C, Loveland, CO 80538. From I-25, take Exit 257 and head west on US-34 for approximately 3 miles. Turn right onto N County Road 11-C and continue for about 1 mile to reach the park entrance.
