Boulder Lake Campground is located within Wakonda State Park in Lewis County, Missouri, approximately 3 miles south of La Grange. The campground offers 77 campsites including 65 with electric hookups and 12 basic sites, with pads ranging from 25 to 109 feet in length to accommodate various RV sizes. Many sites are shaded by mature cottonwood trees, providing a more secluded and peaceful camping experience compared to the park's other campground at Wakonda Lake. The campground provides access to Wakonda State Park's six lakes, which are popular for fishing largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish. Boulder Lake itself allows boats with electric motors only. The park also features a 20,000-square-foot swimming beach on Wakonda Lake, hiking and biking trails, and attracts thousands of migratory waterfowl annually, making it a destination for bird watchers. Campground facilities include showers, water hookups, laundry facilities, and a dump station. Reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance through the Missouri State Parks reservation system. Both campgrounds at Wakonda State Park are fully reservable, though sites may be available on a walk-up basis if not reserved. Weekend reservations require a two-night minimum stay. The campground limits stays to 15 days within any 30-consecutive-day period.
