Situated at 7,200 feet in a pinyon-juniper forest, the campground provides a convenient stopping point along US Highway 50, known as the Loneliest Road in America. The campground features nine individual campsites plus one group site accommodating up to 12 people. Five sites offer pull-through parking suitable for medium-sized RVs. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with flush toilets and potable water available on site. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis at $10 per night. Hunting is a major draw here, with deer and elk seasons bringing heavy usage. Birch Creek offers fishing opportunities about 8 miles from the campground.
