About

Blue Pool Campground is nestled in an impressive old growth forest adjacent to Oregon State Highway 58, approximately 9 miles east of Oakridge. The campground features 24 sites spread along Salt Creek, offering both standard nonelectric and tent-only options. A large picnic area along the creek provides tables and open grassy space for recreation. Fishing and swimming in Salt Creek are the primary draws, with the forested setting providing a peaceful retreat. Just half a mile east on Highway 58 lies the McCredie Day Use Area and Hot Springs, historically developed as a resort but now unimproved. Visitors should exercise caution as water temperatures in the pools run very high. The campground operates seasonally from May through September. Each single site accommodates up to 6 persons, 2 vehicles, and 2 tents. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and camping is limited to 14 days within any 60-day period. Dogs must be kept on leashes no longer than 6 feet.
