About
Bloxham Pavilion occupies a scenic high bluff on the southwest side of Lake Talquin within Lake Talquin State Forest, approximately 20 miles west of Tallahassee. This day-use facility serves as a group gathering space accommodating up to 300 people, making it suitable for family reunions, picnics, and group outings. The site includes a picnic pavilion with a large grill, a small boat ramp and dock for lake access, and basic restroom facilities with water. There is no electricity available at the facility. Visitors must obtain keys from the state forest office at 865 Geddie Road in Tallahassee and return them immediately after use. Groups exceeding 150 people are required to arrange and provide portable toilets at their own expense. Users must pack out all garbage and leave the facility clean. The gate must be locked when leaving. Lake Talquin State Forest encompasses over 19,300 acres with diverse natural communities including upland pine forests, flatwoods, and hardwood slopes. The lake offers excellent fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing opportunities.
