Lake Seminole is renowned as one of the best sport fishing destinations in America, with extensive stump and grass beds providing abundant cover for largemouth, hybrid, striped and white bass. The lake also supports sizable populations of catfish, crappie, and bream, with over 79 species of fish identified. The park's boat ramp with courtesy dock and fishing pier provide easy access to the 37,500-acre lake.
The surrounding landscape features pine and hardwood forests covering rolling hills along the lake's 376 miles of shoreline. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, with alligators, raccoons, various waterfowl, bald eagles, hawks, and other species making their home around the lake. The park includes a group picnic shelter with tables and grill, making it suitable for day use as well as overnight camping.
