About
Hales Landing Park is an Army Corps of Engineers campground located on the Flint River in Southwest Georgia, providing access to the 37,500-acre Lake Seminole with its 376 miles of shoreline. The campground features 25 sites with 50-amp electric and water hookups, including one ADA-accessible site. All sites are arranged to take advantage of the lakeside setting, with some offering waterfront views.
Lake Seminole is renowned as one of America's premier sports fishing destinations. The extensive stump and grass beds provide exceptional cover for anglers targeting largemouth, hybrid, striped, and white bass. The lake also supports healthy populations of catfish, crappie, and bream, with over 79 fish species identified. The on-site boat ramp and dock provide convenient lake access for anglers and recreational boaters.
The surrounding landscape features rolling hills covered in pine and hardwood forests, creating habitat for diverse wildlife including raccoons, alligators, ring-necked ducks, canvasbacks, scaup, hawks, bald eagles, black vultures, tortoises, and snakes. The park offers opportunities for hiking, biking, birding, and picnicking in addition to its water-based recreation. Facilities include restrooms with showers, a picnic shelter, and trash service.
