Alcohol Prohibitions
This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.
Aquatic Invasive Species
This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.
Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products

Bird Track Springs Campground offers a tranquil camping experience in Oregon's Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Situated in the Grande Ronde River valley, the 22 campsites are nestled beneath towering ponderosa pines, providing ample shade and a classic Pacific Northwest forest atmosphere. The campground sees light use, making it an excellent choice for those seeking solitude. Directly across Highway 244 lies Bird Track Interpretive Site, featuring 1.2 miles of trails along the river with interpretive displays. The area is popular with birders, photographers, and wildlife enthusiasts during spring through fall. The short drive from I-84 through riverside farmland makes this an accessible yet off-the-beaten-path destination. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and parking spur. Campers should bring their own drinking water as potable water is not available. Vault toilets are provided. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with some sites reservable through Recreation.gov.
Directions
From La Grande, Oregon, travel north on Interstate 84 for about 8 miles. Take exit 252 onto State Highway 244 towards Ukiah. Travel on Highway 244 for about 6 miles. The campground is on the left side of the road, directly across from Bird Track Interpretive Site.
