About

Beaver Creek Campground sits in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests on the northwest shore of Priest Lake, offering phenomenal views of the Selkirk Mountains across the reflective waters. At an elevation of 2,500 feet, the campground is shaded by hemlock and cedar trees and provides 41 spacious, reservable campsites plus one large group site accommodating up to 35 guests. The campground serves as an excellent base for water and trail recreation. A local beach provides swimming access, while visitors can kayak, canoe, or powerboat up the 2.5-mile Thorofare channel to the Upper Priest Lake Scenic Area, a popular birding destination. A primitive Forest Service boat launch south of the campground accommodates boats up to 20 feet long. Two trailheads provide access to the 9-mile Navigation Trail heading north and the 8-mile Lakeshore Trail heading south, both offering sweeping mountain views for hikers and horseback riders. Anglers find abundant trout fishing in Beaver Creek and both Upper and Lower Priest Lake. The area is also known for huckleberry picking opportunities. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring, with vault toilets and drinking water available throughout the campground.
