About 7 miles west of Aladdin, Wyoming on State Highway 24, Bearlodge Campground offers a quiet, tucked-away camping experience in the Black Hills National Forest. This small campground features 8 first-come, first-served sites with no reservation system. Each campsite includes one picnic table and one fire grill, with restrooms and potable water available during the operating season. The campground is conveniently located near Devils Tower National Monument, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The campground has a 14-day stay limit and allows two vehicles per site, with additional vehicles charged $5 per night. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. Fees vary seasonally, with peak season rates from mid-May through mid-September and reduced shoulder season rates. Golden Age, Access, and Interagency Senior/Access passes provide a 50% discount on camping fees. During the shoulder season, potable water is typically unavailable from approximately October 1 through May 15 due to cold temperatures and the potential for freezing waterlines. The campground closes December 15 annually, and the road and parking areas are not plowed during winter, which can prevent access even before the official closure date.
