Beacon Rock State Park Campground is located in Skamania County, Washington, within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The park encompasses 4,458 acres and offers multiple camping areas to suit different needs. The Upper Campground, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1935, provides a forested setting with standard campsites. Woodard Creek Campground offers 2 standard sites and 5 full-hookup RV sites accommodating vehicles up to 40 feet. The park is renowned for Beacon Rock itself, an 848-foot volcanic plug that offers some of the best traditional rock climbing routes in the Pacific Northwest. A trail with 52 switchbacks leads to the summit for non-climbers. Over 26 miles of roads and trails are open to hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian use, with two primitive sites available for horse campers. Facilities include restrooms with showers, drinking water, trash service, fire pits at sites, and picnic tables. The group camp features a kitchen shelter with power and a picnic shelter. Reservations are available through washington.goingtocamp.com from mid-April through mid-October, with some sites available first-come, first-served.

Directions

Located on State Route 14, approximately 35 miles east of Vancouver, Washington, in the Columbia River Gorge. The park entrance is on the north side of the highway.
