About

Bay City State Park sits on 2,389 acres along the Saginaw Bay shoreline near Bay City, Michigan. The park protects the Tobico Marsh, one of the largest remaining freshwater coastal wetlands on the Great Lakes. Campers have access to a mile of sandy beach, over 2,000 acres of wetland woods, meadows, oak savannah prairies, and cattail marshes. The modern campground features 189 mostly wooded sites set in a stand of mature oaks. Every site includes electric hookups (20/30-amp standard, 50-amp at select sites), a fire ring, and picnic table. Modern restrooms with flush toilets and showers are available, along with a sanitation station with potable water. Three WiFi hot spots serve the campground area near the host site, spray park, and visitor center. Park highlights include the "Play by The Bay" playground with a giant fish play structure and water spray park, an accessible fishing pier on Tobico Lagoon, two observation towers, boardwalks, and viewing platforms for wildlife observation. Two ADA-accessible mini-cabins are also available within the campground, each sleeping up to five guests.
