About

Located within Rifle River State Recreation Area in Ogemaw County, Michigan, Devoe Lake Rustic Campground is the largest of the park's rustic camping areas with 58 wooded sites distributed across five loops. The campground sits on Devoe Lake, one of the recreation area's 10 no-wake lakes and ponds, providing opportunities for fishing, paddling, and swimming at a designated beach area. The rustic sites feature picnic tables and fire rings, with vault toilets and water access available throughout the campground. The location provides easy access to the park's extensive 14-mile multiuse trail system, ideal for hiking and mountain biking. Devoe Lake offers excellent fishing for bluegill, bass, northern pike, yellow perch, and trout. A boat launch with skid pier is available, though motorized boats are prohibited on all park waters. The campground also features an accessible swim beach and is conveniently located near the park's sanitation station. Paddlesport rentals are available nearby at Rollway Resort from May through October.
