About

Arrastre Trail Camp is a primitive backcountry camping area designed primarily for Pacific Crest Trail through-hikers and equestrians. Located at 7,700 feet elevation in the Mountaintop Ranger District of San Bernardino National Forest, the camp sits approximately one mile north of Forest Service Road 2N01 along the PCT. The site offers minimal amenities befitting its backcountry nature: two picnic tables, one fire ring, and a seasonal equestrian trough with non-potable water. There are no restrooms, no potable water, and no trash services. Campers must practice Leave No Trace principles and pack out all waste. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet. Bicycles are prohibited on the Pacific Crest Trail. Horse and pack animals are welcome. The camp is free and operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations required.
