About

Arrastre Trail Camp, also known as Arrastre-Deer Springs PCT Trail Camp, is a primitive hike-in campground located along the Pacific Crest Trail in the Big Bear Lake Recreation Area of San Bernardino National Forest. Situated at 7,700 feet elevation in a wooded canyon setting, this trail camp provides a peaceful backcountry camping experience for PCT hikers and equestrians. The camp features basic amenities including two picnic tables and one fire ring. There are no restrooms at this site, and campers must practice Leave No Trace principles by packing out all waste. Seasonal non-potable water is available on-site, including a water trough designated for equestrian use, though hikers should not rely on the stream as a dependable water source. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet. This PCT trail camp is located approximately one mile north of Forest Service Road 2N01 along the Pacific Crest Trail, making it accessible for backpackers exploring the PCT or nearby trail systems. No fees or permits are required for camping at this site. Campfire permits are required for any type of fire use, and fire restrictions may apply during high fire danger periods. An Adventure Pass is required for parking in the San Bernardino National Forest.
