Dam Site Park is located at Greers Ferry Dam at the foot of Round Mountain in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of north-central Arkansas. This large campground offers 211 sites, with 131 featuring electric hookups and 40 offering both water and electric hookups. The remaining sites are non-electric, providing options for all camping styles. Greers Ferry Lake is an outdoor enthusiast's dream, offering boating, sailing, water skiing, swimming, scuba diving, and exceptional fishing opportunities. The campground features a marina, boat ramp, swimming area, playground, and dump station. Hikers can explore three National Nature Trails and a multi-purpose fitness trail. The William Carl Garner Visitor Center, located just west of the dam, features exhibits and a replica of the world record 40-pound, 4-ounce brown trout caught in the Little Red River. The area is densely forested with red cedar, black gum, red oak, elm, pecan, and sweet gum trees, providing shade in summer and vibrant fall colors in autumn. Wildlife is abundant, with frequent sightings of white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, and various bird species. With 18 parks around the shoreline and 30,000 acres of water surface, visitors have access to numerous recreational opportunities throughout the Greers Ferry Lake area.
