About
Dam Site Park occupies a prime location at the foot of Greers Ferry Dam in the Ozark Mountains of north-central Arkansas. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the campground provides 211 sites ranging from primitive non-electric spots to full hookup sites with water and 30/50-amp electric service. The shaded campground benefits from a dense canopy of red cedar, oak, elm, and sweet gum trees. Facilities are well-developed: flush and vault toilets, hot-water showers, drinking water spigots, and an RV dump station. A marina offers boat slips and supplies, while a concrete boat ramp provides direct access to Greers Ferry Lake's 30,000+ acres of water. The designated swimming area and playground make this a solid choice for families. The nearby William Carl Garner Visitor Center features exhibits and a replica of the world-record 40 lb. 4 oz. brown trout caught in the Little Red River below the dam. The Greers Ferry National Fish Hatchery offers free tours and produces about one million rainbow trout annually.
