About

Located eight miles southwest of Wells, Nevada, Angel Creek Campground sits at 6,200 feet in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The campground features 18 standard nonelectric sites plus one group tent-only area accommodating up to 30 people. Mature aspens throughout the campground offer partial shade and spectacular golden fall foliage, while wildflowers blanket the area during summer months. The campground provides vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection during peak season. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and most have tent pads. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp host. The group area features handicap-accessible facilities. Angel Lake lies just four miles up the road, offering excellent fishing for rainbow and brook trout as well as canoeing opportunities. The surrounding East Humboldt Range supports diverse wildlife including bighorn sheep, mountain goats, mule deer, and various raptors. Smith Lake Trail is accessible from nearby Angel Lake Campground.
