Special Weather Statement issued May 22 at 1:43PM EDT by NWS Gaylord MI
The combination of dry surface conditions, low afternoon relative humidity values, and gusty east to southeast winds will result in elevated fire danger conditions across northern lower Michigan the remainder of this afternoon. Sustained winds of 7 to 15 mph with gusts of 20 to 30 mph will be seen over northern Michigan this afternoon. Minimum relative humidity values of 20 to 35 percent are expected over much of northern lower Michigan. These conditions could lead to rapid spread of fires. Check burning restrictions and fire danger before burning. For more information on burning restrictions for Michigan, see www.dnr.state.mi.us//.

About
Clear Lake State Park encompasses 290 acres in Montmorency County, centered around the spring-fed Clear Lake. The modern campground offers 200 sites divided into upper and lower loops, with the upper area providing larger sites ideal for RVs and the lower area offering closer proximity to the lake. Sites are shaded by mature oaks and pines, with electric hookups (including some 50-amp service), picnic tables, and fire rings. The park provides modern restroom and shower facilities, a sanitation station, and drinking water spigots throughout the campground. Beyond camping, visitors can enjoy the designated swimming beach, rent canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, or rowboats from the contact station, and play the 18-hole disc golf course. The park's location also provides access to nearby ORV trails and the natural beauty of northern Michigan.
Directions
