Alcohol Prohibitions
This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.
Aquatic Invasive Species
This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.
Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products
This Order prohibits unloading, storing, or using any straw, hay, grain, seed, or other forage or mulch products that are not state-certified weed free on the National Forest System lands, roads or trails in any Closure Area as specific in the Order.

This is a pack-in, pack-out facility with no services provided. Visitors must be completely self-sufficient, bringing all necessary water, supplies, and provisions. The campground offers basic amenities including fire rings and picnic tables at each site. With no fees required, Alder Springs attracts hunters, wildlife enthusiasts, and campers seeking an authentic wilderness experience away from developed recreation areas.
Directions
From Burns, Oregon, travel south on US Highway 20 to the junction with County Road 127. Follow County Road 127 approximately 11.8 miles to the junction with Forest Road 41. Follow Forest Road 41 approximately 23.9 miles to the junction with Forest Road 4340. Follow Forest Road 4340 for approximately 1.7 miles to the junction with Forest Road 4341 and follow Forest Road 4341 approximately 0.4 miles to the campground.
