About
Located in the Ochoco National Forest near the headwaters of Frazier Creek, this campground provides a peaceful setting among tall grasses and large ponderosa pine trees. The facility offers ten campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire pit/grill, with variously sized parking spurs that accommodate most recreational vehicles and cars with trailers. The campground serves as a gateway to the surrounding forest, with nearby Forest Service Road 58 providing access to the Sunflower area and the South Fork of the John Day River. Frazier is particularly popular during the fall hunting season, attracting hunters to the area. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets but no potable water available, so visitors must bring their own water supply. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations and no fees. A 14-day stay limit applies to all National Forest lands.
