About
Fall River Campground is a small, intimate campground located along Fall River within the Deschutes National Forest, approximately 17 miles south of Bend and 12 miles southwest on County Road 42. The river's headwaters bubble from the ground roughly a quarter mile upstream, creating a pristine, spring-fed waterway that meanders through mixed conifer forest before joining the Deschutes River. The campground has 10 standard nonelectric sites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs. Sites vary in size with driveway lengths from 30 to 45 feet and maximum vehicle lengths from 30 to 40 feet. All sites feature a picnic table and campfire ring with grill, and pull-through sites are available. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water; campers must bring their own supply. Recreation centers on the Fall River Trail, which departs directly from the campground and follows the river with frequent overlooks. Fishing is limited to fly fishing only, with legal-sized brook and rainbow trout stocked several times per year. No generator use is permitted between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
