About

Wyeth Campground is a small, intimate campground situated along the Deschutes River just downstream from Wickiup Reservoir in Oregon's Deschutes National Forest. With only 5 sites, it offers a peaceful setting in mixed conifer forest for tent campers and small RVs. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are available, though potable water is not, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground features a boat ramp providing direct access to the Deschutes River, making it an ideal base for paddling and fishing. Motorized boating is prohibited on this section of the river, maintaining a quiet atmosphere. The maximum site spur length is 40 feet. Nearby attractions include Newberry National Volcanic Monument, Lava River Cave, and the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, which winds 66 miles through the Cascade Range past snow-capped peaks and alpine lakes.
