About

Pringle Falls Campground is a small, peaceful campground situated along the Wild and Scenic Deschutes River in Deschutes National Forest. With only seven campsites nestled beneath a mixed conifer canopy, the campground offers an intimate riverside camping experience with direct access to the river for fishing and non-motorized boating. The Deschutes River at this location provides Class II flatwater opportunities for drift fishing and paddling, though boaters should note that dangerous falls exist approximately 6 miles downstream near Sunriver. Boat fishing and drift fishing are the most effective methods for catching fish in this stretch of river. Motorized boating is not permitted. The campground is located adjacent to a protected experimental forest, offering opportunities for nature observation and quiet exploration. Pringle Falls Campground can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents with a maximum site spur length of 30 feet. All sites include picnic tables and fire pits. The campground operates seasonally from mid-April through mid-October, transitioning to first-come, first-served beginning October 1. Campers should be prepared to bring their own water, as no potable water is available on-site. Vault toilets are provided.

Directions

From Bend, travel about 27 miles south on Highway 97, then 7 miles west on County Road 43. The campground entrance is on the north side of the road.
