About

Wyeth Campground sits along the Deschutes River approximately 35 miles southwest of Bend, just below Wickiup Dam. The river here transforms from its upstream character into a slow, powerful, meandering waterway that supports the best population of stream-inhabiting German brown trout in Oregon. The campground's boat ramp provides easy access for drift fishing this highly accessible stretch of river. The small campground has 5 sites suitable for tents, trailers, or RVs up to 40 feet. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table and fire pit. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. No hookups are available. The campground operates seasonally from mid-April through mid-October. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov for most of the season, with the campground switching to first-come, first-served in late September. A 14-day consecutive stay limit applies, with a maximum of 28 days total per calendar year on Deschutes National Forest lands.
