Rocky Knoll Campground sits at 6,000 feet elevation near Silver Lake in the Almanor Ranger District of Lassen National Forest. This developed campground provides 18 designated campsites in a forested setting, offering a quiet base for exploring the surrounding area. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available. Each site includes a campfire ring and picnic table. Potable water is available from a hand pump, and vault toilets serve the campground. Some sites can accommodate RVs, though specific length limits are not published. The area around Silver Lake offers opportunities for fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The campground typically operates from June through September, though dates vary based on snow and weather conditions.
