About

The Hoh Rain Forest receives an average of 140 inches of precipitation annually, creating a lush ecosystem of towering Sitka spruce, western red cedar, and bigleaf maples blanketed in mosses and ferns. Hoh Campground provides an intimate base for exploring this remarkable environment, with sites tucked beneath the dense canopy and some positioned along the Hoh River. The campground features 78 sites across three loops (A, B, and C), each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. Flush toilets and potable water are available at loop restrooms, along with food storage lockers required for proper food storage in this wildlife-rich area. There are no hookups or dump station services. Most sites accommodate smaller vehicles, with maximum lengths of 21 feet and a few sites allowing up to 35 feet. The adjacent Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center serves as the trailhead for several iconic hikes. The Hall of Mosses Trail (0.8 miles) showcases a grove of maples draped in club moss, while the Spruce Nature Trail (1.2 miles) loops through varied forest along Taft Creek. More ambitious hikers can follow the Hoh River Trail up to 18.5 miles to the Blue Glacier moraine on Mount Olympus.
