About

Twin Lakes Campground occupies lodgepole pine forest beside Twin Lakes in the Mammoth Lakes Basin, near Mammoth Lakes, California. Sites extend along both sides of the lakes. Sections 1 and 2 lie nearer the western shore, while section 3 occupies a hill. The campground accommodates tents and RVs. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire ring and bear-resistant food locker. Drinking-water spigots and shared toilets serve the campground. Its general store provides camping supplies, boat rentals and showers. The lakes support trout fishing, canoeing and kayaking; motorized boats must use electric motors. Food and scented items must be stored in the provided lockers, and trash must go in bear-resistant receptacles. Dogs must be leashed, with no more than two pets allowed per site.

Directions

From U.S. Highway 395, take Highway 203 west through Mammoth Lakes. Continue onto Lake Mary Road toward the Lakes Basin, then take the Twin Lakes cutoff.
