About
Post Oak Park is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground located on the shores of Copan Lake in northeastern Oklahoma. The campground offers 19 back-in RV sites with 30-amp electric hookups, including two ADA-accessible sites that feature full hookups with water and sewer. The park provides modern amenities including flush toilets, vault toilets, hot showers, drinking water, and a dump station. Copan Lake's 4,850 acres of water sit on the Little Caney River amid a scenic prairie landscape of grasslands and croplands. The lake is known for quality fishing opportunities with populations of largemouth bass, white crappie, channel and flathead catfish, and various sunfish species. Three miles of trails wind through wooded areas and open meadows, accommodating both hikers and horseback riders. The surrounding area includes 11,000 acres designated for wildlife management, offering public hunting opportunities for deer, waterfowl, bobwhite quail, turkey, cottontail rabbit, and squirrel. The campground's location in Oklahoma's Green Country provides a peaceful setting for camping, boating, picnicking, and exploring the natural beauty of northeastern Oklahoma.
