About
Emigrant Landing is the largest day-use recreation area on Pyramid Lake, nestled in the sweeping hills above the Santa Clarita Valley within Angeles National Forest. Located just 90 minutes from Los Angeles, it provides easy access to a 1,300-acre reservoir with 21 miles of shoreline. The facility features a boat ramp, accessible fishing pier, fish cleaning station, sandy swim beach, picnic tables, shade shelters, flush toilets, and drinking water. Anglers target striped bass, largemouth and smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, crappie, and bluegill. Water activities include boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, and jet skiing. This is strictly a day-use area with no overnight camping allowed. No mooring is permitted. The area does not accept reservations and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Water in Pyramid Lake originates from Plumas National Forest and Oroville Dam in northern California, traveling via aqueduct through the Tehachapi Mountains.
