About
Cotton Hill Campground sits on the Georgia shoreline of Walter F. George Lake, an 85-mile reservoir on the Chattahoochee River also known as Lake Eufaula. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, it offers 101 campsites ranging from full-hookup RV sites to primitive tent sites with electric. Each site features a picnic table and fire ring, with many providing waterfront or water-view access. The campground caters to anglers pursuing largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, channel catfish, and bream along 640 miles of shoreline. A boat ramp with courtesy dock and fish cleaning station make this an ideal base for fishing. Additional amenities include three bathhouses with hot showers, coin laundry, dump station, and two playgrounds. The surrounding mixed hardwood forests support diverse wildlife including deer, waterfowl, eagles, and songbirds. The historic town of Eufaula, Alabama lies nearby with over 20 structures on the National Register of Historic Places, including antebellum mansions. Fort Gaines, Georgia is 7 miles south.
