About

Kolomoki Mounds State Historic Park protects one of the most significant archaeological sites in the Southeast, occupied by Native Americans from 350 to 900 C.E. The park features seven earthen mounds, including a 57-foot temple mound, and an on-site museum displaying artifacts and burial excavations. The campground consists of 25 tent, trailer, and RV sites set beneath hardwoods and pines along Lake Kolomoki. Sites offer water and 30-amp electric hookups, picnic tables, and fire rings. Both back-in and pull-through configurations are available, accommodating RVs up to 79 feet depending on the site. Facilities include restrooms with showers, a dump station, and WiFi at the park office. Beyond camping, visitors can swim at the sand beach, fish from the dock, or paddle on the two lakes. Three hiking trails wind through the forest and offer views of Lakes Yohola and Kolomoki. A gift shop and grocery items are available on-site.
