About
Whiteface Reservoir Campground provides a full-service camping experience on the northern shore of the expansive Whiteface Reservoir in Superior National Forest. The campground offers 52 sites suitable for both RVs and tents, with 32 sites featuring 30-amp electrical hookups. A selection of sites are available for monthly or seasonal reservation, making it popular with anglers and families seeking extended stays in Minnesota's arrowhead region. The 4,980-acre reservoir is renowned for walleye, northern pike, and panfish. A boat launch at the campground provides easy access to the water, and a fish cleaning house allows anglers to process their catch on-site. Day-use facilities include five picnic areas, a sandy swim beach, playground, and 2.5 miles of hiking trails. A group site with electricity accommodates larger parties. Campsites are situated in a mixed forest of aspen, birch, maple, spruce, balsam, and pine, offering shade and privacy. Most sites overlook the reservoir or provide easy access to the shoreline. The campground features solar-powered drinking water wells, vault toilets, and trash collection. A campground host is on-site during the main season to assist visitors. Water levels in the reservoir are controlled by Minnesota Power and may fluctuate throughout the summer. ATVs are not permitted within the recreation area.
