About
Boulder Beach Campground is an oasis-like destination in the Mojave Desert, located within Lake Mead National Recreation Area between Henderson and Boulder City, Nevada. The 135 paved campsites are spread across five loops (A, B, C, D, and G) and shaded by lush vegetation including palm trees, oleanders, and mature cottonwoods. Many sites offer views of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill, and the River Mountains. The campground provides flush restrooms, potable water spigots, and an RV dump station. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring or grill. While large RVs can be accommodated on the paved sites, there are no hookups. Boulder Beach, Special Events Beach, Canoe/Kayak Beach, and PWC Beach are 1-2 miles away for swimming, kayaking, and personal watercraft. The paved River Mountains Loop Trail passes right by the campground, connecting to the Historic Railroad Tunnel Trail near the Alan Bible Visitor Center. Summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F from June through August, while spring and fall offer more moderate conditions in the 90s. Winter lows can drop to freezing December through February. Air tour noise may be present during the day. The Hoover Dam and Boulder City dining and shopping are just minutes away.
Directions
Take U.S. Highway 93 into the Boulder Beach Entrance of the park. Follow Lakeshore Road 2 miles and take your second right. The NPS campground is on the left.
