Heights), Eastern Hanover, Eastern Henrico, Eastern Louisa, Fluvanna, Goochland, Powhatan, Prince Edward, Western Chesterfield, Western Hanover, Western Henrico (Including the City of Richmond) and Western Louisa. In east central Virginia, Charles City, Eastern Essex, Eastern King William, Eastern King and Queen, New Kent, Richmond, Western King William and Western King and Queen. In eastern Virginia, Gloucester, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex, Northampton and Northumberland. In south central Virginia, Brunswick, Dinwiddie, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway and Prince George (including Hopewell and Petersburg). In southeast Virginia, Accomack, Greensville, Hampton/Poquoson, Isle of Wight, James City, Newport News, Southampton, Surry, Sussex and York. * WHEN...Through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more widespread late tonight and early Wednesday morning ahead of a slow moving cold front. This front is expected to stall across the region Wednesday into Wednesday night with additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms expected Wednesday afternoon and evening.
